Bamboo Ginger is a special variety of spicy and highly aromatic ginger grown in Taiwan. It is harvested at the peak of pungency and aromatic complexity. This spicy powder can be added to all sorts of creative, hot tea drinks or simply stirred into hot lemon water, steamed milk or honey drinks. It can be used as a spice and culinary arts in combination or in place of fresh ginger or where dried ginger powder is called upon. Perfect for any season, combine with turmeric powder for the ultimate power tonic.
This premium grade of pure ginger root is cold milled into a fine powder and vacuum packaged into a glass jar. The highly pungent aroma and spicy, enlivening character are like no other common, spice market grade of ginger powder you may have seen. TRADITIONAL PREPARATION
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Add 1 teaspoon ( 3 g ) of ginger powder and 1 tablespoon of dark brown or black sugar to mug or cup . Add 400 ml of hot water, stir and enjoy.
This is traditional ginger tea that you might see in Taiwan, Singapore or in overseas Chinese family homes. Dark brown sugar and ginger is a common breakfast tea throughout the tropics and Southeast Asia.
Water can be swapped out for hot or steamed milk for a ginger black sugar milk tea.
If used in a smoothie or drink mix , 1 tea spoon per every 250 ml of liquid yield will make a spicy and nice taste.
If sugar is not your thing , 1 teaspoon of ginger powder , 1 slice of lemon , 1 tablespoon of honey and 400 ml hot water , steep all together for 4-6 min and enjoy . Reduce or delete honey of no sweetness if desired. Fresh herbs like mint or rosemary can be a really nice addition to the steep.
